Close to the city
At Rio, below the bridge, there are organised beaches with views over the strait, easy to reach. South of the city, areas like Niforeika and Rogitika offer sandy shores with beach bars and tavernas.
Kalogria & Strofylia
About 40 km to the southwest, Kalogria is the most famous: a long sandy beach beside the protected Strofylia forest and the Kotychi lagoon. Ideal for a full day out in nature.
To the north
Along the coast toward Aigio, smaller beaches and coves alternate with villages, lovely stops if you pair a swim with a drive along the Gulf of Corinth.
